Xocolate is the name of our own chocolate – prepared with great care and attention by the Panorama Resort & Spa chocolatiers. We only use top-quality maracaibo, arriba and wild cacao which are transformed into delicately melting chocolate with cocoa percentages of 38%, 65% or 72%.
Cocoa has a tradition dating back over many centuries. The Aztecs used it to prepare a “drink of the gods”, intended only for kings. Hernando Cortez, the conqueror of Mexico, brought cocoa to Spain in 1528, where it soon spread amongst the European nobility. In the 19th century the Swiss, with the discovery of the conching process, laid the basis for the production of high-quality dark chocolate with its typical, natural flavour. Chocolate has a positive effect on the heart and circulation system of the body. Our in-house chocolatiers also create exquisite chocolates and chocolate hearts, all made with great care and passion.
